A Word about the college

The College was established in 1982-1983 offering two courses B.A., and B.Com.  Several undergraduate programmes were also introduced according to the changing needs of the society.  The College offers P.G. Courses in Organic Chemistry and Microbiology.

The Colleges sprawled in 8 acres of land with all Infrastructure facilities like digital library; computer center and laboratories for all science courses.  The college also provided facilities for all who desire to stay within the campus and pursue their studies.  One hosted is constructed with the UGC funds and another hostel in maintained as attached hostel.

The development of the college was made possible with the help of several philanthropic minded people of Tanuku and surrounding villages.

With a view to create employability, the college is offering courses like spoken English, Computer literacy, Personality Development during zero hours by collecting nominal fee from the students.

The college is also providing coaching for ICET, Ed.CET, APPGCET and also for competitive examinations.  It is having good play grounds and gymnasium to facilitate healthy body.   It encourages social service activities through its NSS wings.  It also promotes research activities wherever ity is possible.   The college is having careerguidance and Placement cell to guide the students to secure suitable employment. 

We feel proud to say that many of our students got their placemnts.  Our students are selected in varius campuses through campus recuritments.

The Managemnt of the college has appointed a Placement officer to guide and provide the employment to the students.  Skill Development Center, APSSDC was established in the campus to improve the soft skills and allround developmetn of the students and to get placement in companies.

• To make the students gain insight into the conceptual framwork of their chosen fields and make them gain as much objective information as possible in the relevant fields.

• To promote the education of the girls with the objective of creating an enlightened class of mothers who will ensure a better amalgamation of the community with the main stream and thus help the nation in building up a secular society as dreamt by the founding Fathers of the country.
• The mission statement reflects the institution's distinctive charcteristics in relation to the changing needs of the society and the students.  The college facilitates horizontal and also vertical mobility of the students.  It is the nurturing ground for a overall development of the personality and enable the students to accommodate to the new vibrant society in the new environment.

Objectives:

• To Develop our students as civilized and cultural human beings.
• For improving the quality of education the institution strives to equip the institution as per the needs of the students.
• We meet the social needs and impart education as per the social requisites like Basics in Computers, Language skills, Soft Skills etc.
• For the overall development of the student the institution strives to encourage through curricular, co-curricular and extra curricular programmes.  (Guest lectures, Essay writing, Elocution, Debate competitions, Music, Sports, NSS, etc.,)
• To provide information about employment opportunities, and provide necessary counselling by testing their abilities, aptitudes and guide them to seek proper employment.
• The institution is striving to expand social service programmes with the existing NSS units.
• To arrange periodical meetings with parents to have an interaction with the teachrs.
• To strengthen the old students Association and to guide the existing students.
• The goals and objectives of the institution are made known to the varius stake holders through existing Tutorial System, the bye-laws of the society, college handbook, college prospectus and by dislaying at prominent focusing points in the institution.
