OBJECTIVES & GOALS OF THE DEPARTMENT.

To widen the students understanding and broaden the horizons of knowledge

To develop the students ability to understand and appreciate the subject

To ensure a good comprehension on the subject to the students and instill confidence for facing competitive examinations and to pursue further studies.

To make the subject a study of utility that can generate income.

 

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT.

The Department of Statistics was established in the year 2005.

Faculty members are well qualified, committed and have good exposure in academic affairs.

Many eminent academicians, resource persons from various colleges were invited to share their ideas with the students and the faculty.

From the academic year 2023-24, following  NEP – 2020

• B.Sc(Statistics Honours)
• B.Sc(Data Science)   are offered
